Submission Guidelines for Artists - Cicada Fine Art
Thank you for your interest in submitting your artwork to Cicada Fine Art. We appreciate your passion for creating and sharing your work with us. Before you proceed, please review the following guidelines carefully to ensure that your submission aligns with our requirements.


Artwork Categories:

  • Cicada Fine Art accepts submissions across various mediums, including but not limited to painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, digital art, and mixed media.

  • We encourage artists to explore diverse styles, themes, and techniques.

Submission Format:

  • Please prepare your submissions digitally.

  • For 2D artworks (painting, drawing, photography, etc.), high-resolution images are required. The recommended format is JPEG or PNG.

  • For 3D artworks (sculpture, installation, etc.), please provide clear images from multiple angles.

  • If applicable, include a brief description or artist statement for each piece submitted.

Portfolio Submission:

  • Submit a curated selection of your best and most representative artworks.

  • We recommend including 5 to 10 pieces for consideration.

  • Ensure that your portfolio showcases your artistic style, skill, and vision effectively.

Artist Statement:

  • Include a concise artist statement introducing yourself and your artistic journey.

  • Share insights into your creative process, inspirations, and any relevant background information.

  • Limit your statement to approximately 200-300 words.

Contact Information:

  • Provide your full name, email address, phone number, and website (if available).

  • Double-check the accuracy of your contact details to ensure smooth communication.

Submission Process:

  • Email your submission to submissions@cicadafineart.com.

  • Use the subject line: "Artist Submission: [Your Name]"

  • Attach your portfolio images along with your artist statement.

  • If the file size exceeds the email limit, you may utilize file-sharing services like Dropbox or Google Drive and share the link in your email.


Review Process:

  • Our team carefully reviews each submission we receive.

  • Please allow up to 4-6 weeks for us to review your portfolio and respond to your submission.

  • We appreciate your patience during this process.

Rights and Permissions:

  • By submitting your artwork to Cicada Fine Art, you grant us permission to review, display, and potentially promote your work on our platform and associated marketing channels.

  • Artists retain full copyright and ownership of their artworks.

Follow-Up Communication:

  • If your submission is successful, we will reach out to discuss further steps, including potential representation or exhibition opportunities.

  • In case your submission is not accepted, we may not be able to provide individual feedback due to the volume of submissions we receive. However, we encourage you to keep creating and exploring opportunities for showcasing your art.
